Role OverviewThe Critical Care Rapid Response and Code Nurse is a highly skilled registered nurse responsible for providing immediate clinical response, assessment, stabilization, and care coordination for inpatients experiencing acute deterioration, rapid response, stroke or sepsis events, and cardiopulmonary emergencies.
What You Will Do
Support bedside staff, providers, respiratory therapy, house managers, and other interdisciplinary partners to promote early recognition of decline, timely intervention, and safe escalation to a higher level of care when indicated.
Why It Might Be a Fit
We are looking for a nurse who is highly skilled, has a minimum of one year of previous critical care nursing experience, and is certified in CCRN, ACLS, and NIHSS Stroke Certification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license required
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
- NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire)
- CCRN American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification required
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous critical care nursing experience required
