What You Will Do
Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and report infractions to the police. Observe vehicles and pedestrians in the area of school crosswalks to report suspicious vehicles or activity.

- Knowledge of the geography of the community and the location of important buildings

- Ability to tactfully interact with the public, especially children
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Physically able to perform the duties of a crossing guard during any weather conditions
- Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write reports and correspondence in English
- Ability to speak effectively to children, parents, and school officials
