Job Description
Axle, a bioscience and information technology company, is seeking a Cryo-Electron Microscopy Specialist to join their team at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, MD. The role involves supporting cryo-EM operations in Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML), focusing on immunology, parasitology, and infectious disease research. This position is a key part of an Electron Microscopy Unit (EMU) within the Research Technologies Branch at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH).

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field.
  • Relevant publication record.
  • Minimum of five years of experience operating Thermo Fisher Scientific 120 kV, 200 kV, and 300 kV cryo-electron microscopes.
  • Minimum of five years of experience reconstructing and generating models from cryo-EM data.
  • Experience in data management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
