Role OverviewPerforms prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.
What You Will Do
Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) independently. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires ARRT Registered (RT) in radiography (R) or NMTCB registered (CNMT) at time of hire. One of the following sets of certifications is required within 18 months of hire or transfer: Computed Tomography (CT) certified OR NMTCB registered (CT) certification.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ARRT Registered (RT) in radiography (R) or NMTCB registered (CNMT) is required at time of hire
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
