Role Overview

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a CT Technologist I to join their imaging team. This full-time, day-shift role involves performing high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols. The position is based at the Tampa, Florida location.

What You Will Do

Operate imaging equipment safely, prepare and administer IV contrast material, position patients accurately, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers. Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems, educate patients about exams, and ensure radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained.

Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equiv
  • Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R)(ARRT)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography RT(CT)(ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of CT procedures and scanners
  • Ability to learn and grow with new technology
  • Customer Service skills
  • CT Safety including radiation protection
  • General computer skills and PACS
  • Basic IV competency
  • General physics and anatomy
  • Fluent in the English language

  • Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately
  • Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray machines and printers
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively
  • Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department
