Job Description
Role Overview

Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses, and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility.

What You Will Do

Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, perform imaging exams in accordance with established policies and procedures, and perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of a physician or nurse.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology, and certification as a medical radiologic technologist. Proficiency with X-ray/CT equipment and manufacturer's hardware/software is also required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology
  • Certified as a medical radiologic technologist
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience
  • 1+ years of CT experience
  • 1+ years of emergency room experience
  • Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer's hardware/software and PACS
