Role Overview

The CTE Vocational Instructor provides career readiness, vocational, and project-based instruction to students with diverse learning needs. The instructor works closely with the Program Director, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for employment and adulthood.

What You Will Do

The instructor will plan, coordinate, and implement project-based learning experiences, develop and teach instructional units, and provide direct instruction to students through hands-on vocational and technical activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Career and Technical Education (CTE), Special Education, Workforce Development, Visual Arts, Culinary Arts, Industrial Arts, Construction Trades, or a related field
  • Valid teaching license and/or relevant industry certification
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, coaching, or training adolescents or young adults
  • Knowledge of transition planning, vocational programming, workforce development, project-based learning, and career readiness instruction
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
