Role Overview

The Culinary Specialist is accountable for facilitating culinary programming in the form of hands-on instruction, workshops, and lectures as well as providing one-on-one consultation services to help Miraval guests discover balance and nurture wellbeing.

What You Will Do

Leading culinary classes on a weekly schedule, creating and inspiring dishes from local ingredients, and providing background information on these dishes during a Chef's choice nightly dinner.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have robust understanding of cuisines, flavor profiles, and cooking techniques, as well as knowledge of Health Department recognized processes regarding food safety, time and temperature, sanitation, and storage hierarchies.

Requirements

  • Have robust understanding of cuisines, flavor profiles, and cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of Health Department recognized processes regarding food safety, time and temperature, sanitation, and storage hierarchies.
  • Efficient communication skills
  • Basic wine knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Multiple culinary environments and leadership experience required.
