Job Description
HDR is seeking a Cultural Resources Section Manager to lead and support Section 106 compliance, NEPA, and CEQA efforts, conduct fieldwork, and develop compliance strategy. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field, 5+ years of experience in cultural resources investigations, and be a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) certified.
Requirements
Take responsibility for assessment, preparation of documents, reports and findings for archaeological investigations
Develop and monitor tasks, schedules and cost estimates, and assess applicable requirements and processes for cultural resource projects
Lead and support Section 106 compliance, NEPA, and CEQA efforts.
Conduct fieldwork, participate in meetings, and develop compliance strategy
Take part in all processes with cultural resources projects, including field investigations and agency coordination
Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed
Work with cross-sector teams to optimize project delivery and new business development.
Take responsibility for operations of Northern California's Cultural Resources Section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
Plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of cultural resources professionals and technicians
Serve as Project Manager on projects, as needed
Take responsibility for development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of practice staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.
Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations
Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews for private and public clients
Implement, monitor and support company policies
Perform other duties as needed
