Job Description
Performs a variety of tasks in the preparation, presentation and service of food, maintains department cleanliness, and has strong customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Determines quantities of food items necessary for the meals.
  • Identifies high quality food through tasting, attractively and creatively portioning and garnishing food.
  • Stores and stocks food supplies in designated areas.
  • Washes and stores dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Maintains department cleanliness by accomplishing daily cleaning assignments.
  • Prepares food such as salads, beverages, sandwiches, and pureed food.
  • Assembles patient trays.
  • Pushes loaded food carts to each patient area.
  • Delivers patient trays to the patients.
  • Ability to work independently and with little or no daily supervision.
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment (sharps, meat slicer).
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures.
