Role Overview

Provide direction and leadership in the area of custodial services to ensure a safe, clean, and effective environment for students and district employees. The role involves supervising a large staff of custodial personnel, mentoring, evaluating, and problem-solving. The incumbent is considered 'essential personnel' during an emergency and can be subject to being held over or called back to a district location at all times.

What You Will Do

Supervise custodial staff, develop plans and identify expected outcomes/results, coach and mentor subordinates, inspect schools and facilities, ensure adherence to state rules and department policies, and process payroll and leave requests.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial operations, supervisory experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a current driver's license. Knowledge of all facets of custodial operations management, demonstrated leadership and management ability, and effective oral and written communication skills are preferred.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in custodial operations or related field
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Current driver's license
  • Custodial certification (FSPMA) preferred
