Job Description
This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the LSU Student Union facility. The person must be capable of moving about in a 305,000 square foot building multiple times daily to clean and prepare ballrooms, meeting/conference rooms, lobbies, office space, and exterior sidewalks, patios, and balconies.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, grounds keeping, or food service work
  • Ability to move about in a 305,000 square foot building multiple times daily
  • Ability to ascend and descend the stairs of a 4-story building multiple times daily
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during cleaning processes
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch to pick up litter, retrieve equipment, and clean restrooms, offices, lobbies, and maintain floors
  • Ability to move furniture that weighs 20-40 lbs. or more and transport tables and chairs weighing 60-80 lbs.
  • Ability to work with and be exposed to common cleaning products
