Role OverviewWe are seeking a full-time custodian to work second shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with weekends and holidays off. The successful candidate will perform all aspects of cleaning, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of County buildings and grounds to ensure a neat, orderly, and safe work environment and public impression for internal and external customers.
What You Will Do
Specific duties include cleaning meeting rooms, offices, public areas, and bathrooms; removing recyclables and trash; dusting, mopping, sanitizing, scrubbing, and sweeping surfaces; vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors; washing ceilings, walls, windows; replacing light bulbs and batteries; maintaining supplies in paper and soap dispensers; setting up and tearing down meeting facilities; loading/unloading deliveries, distributing deliveries, running errands; sorting mail; performing general maintenance and repairs; shoveling snow, removing or treating ice; and responding to off-hours calls.
