Role Overview

The Customer Service Assistant 2 provides assistance to external customers by responding to complaints, inquiries, and general information requests concerning workers' compensation. The role involves explaining the rights and responsibilities of parties to a claim for benefits under Ohio Workers' Compensation Law and Rules, directing customers to the appropriate contact for further information or assistance, and preparing and maintaining documentation and records related to all complaints and inquiries.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Customer Service Assistant 2 include providing assistance to external customers, entering complaint information into the Ombuds Tracking System, explaining the rights and responsibilities of parties to a claim for benefits, and preparing and maintaining documentation and records.

The ideal candidate for this role will have 9 months of training or experience in office practices and procedures, public relations, or customer service, as well as 9 months of training or experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry, or word processing. The candidate will also have strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult people.
