Job Description
The Customer Service Manager position oversees driver and motor vehicle licensing and registration services for the Ohio Department of Public Safety – Bureau of Motor Vehicles/Field Operations/In-House Processing Unit. The job involves planning, coordinating, and directing assistance and informational services to respond to complaints, inquiries, and requests for information from various clients.

Requirements

  • 12 months of training or experience in departmental operations and programs, policies, and procedures for the assigned agency
  • 12 months of training or experience in federal and state laws regarding operation of the assigned agency
  • 1 course or 3 months of experience in public relations
  • 1 course or 3 months of experience in applications of mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical methods used in formulating and solving problems or in decision making
  • 1 course or 3 months of experience in public speaking, speech, or communication
  • 6 months of training or 6 months of experience in supervisory principles/techniques
