Role Overview

This is a responsible professional position involved in interviewing customers and employer contacts within a Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB). The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft applications, and ability to deal with the public in an effective manner. The role involves providing customer service, interviewing customers, and conducting initial assessments of customer needs.

What You Will Do

The position involves interviewing customers, conducting initial assessments of customer needs, and providing services or referrals as appropriate. The specialist will also evaluate education, training, and experience to properly register applicants in computer systems, provide instructions and assistance to customers, and refer applicants to available job openings and/or training opportunities.
