Role OverviewPeraton is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Splunk Software Engineer to join our mission-focused team supporting secure, enterprise-level IT environments. In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, and secure advanced software solutions within highly classified infrastructures.
What You Will Do
You will develop custom Splunk applications, automate cyber workflows, enhance monitoring capabilities, and support continuous assessment of mission systems. You will also contribute to full lifecycle engineering—from concept and prototyping through deployment, sustainment, and continuous monitoring.

Requirements
- BS/BA with 8+ years relevant experience, MS and 6+ years relevant experience
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- DoD 8140 Intermediate or Advanced certification (IAT II/IAT III or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cyber engineering, or secure system development
- Hands on experience with Splunk Enterprise, Splunk ES, Splunk app development, and SPLUNK data onboarding
- Experience integrating Splunk with enterprise security tools (ACAS, HBSS/ESS, EDR platforms)
- Strong proficiency in secure coding, software testing, debugging, and vulnerability mitigation
- Experience implementing RMF, JSIG, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity controls
- Proficiency with Python, Java, or similar languages used for secure software development
- Experience engineering solutions in classified or highly regulated environments
- Ability to produce high quality technical documentation and architectural artifacts
