Data Analyst/Cyber Risk

Peraton seeks a Data Analyst/Cyber Risk to provide Mission Assurance and Operations Research Analysis (MA/ORSA) support. The role involves assisting the Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) in understanding, identifying, assessing, and managing risks affecting the secure operation and defensibility of cyberspace. The team will work together to identify and recommend cyber terrain/activities that may impact the successful execution of DoD missions, provide analysis, risks, and options for mitigation and remediation strategies, and support the completion of other similar work in the area of operations research and other specific mathematic areas.

What You Will Do

Duties include identifying and recommending cyber terrain/activities, providing analysis, risks, and options for mitigation and remediation strategies, coordinating and managing the weekly execution of a Cyber Operational Analysis Working Group, and defining and documenting analysis factors, risk reporting criteria, and risk categories.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with Ph.D.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing, specifically the use of the Big Data Platform (BDP)
• Experience writing data parsers for the BDP
• Experience with Kafka and Apachi NiFi
• Expertise in cloud native data storage services and data warehousing methods
• Familiarity with SQL and noSQL data storage methods
• In-depth understanding of all aspects of Defensive Cyberspace Operations
• Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders in a variety of formats
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work periodically on shift to assist the team
