Data Center Construction Field Oversight Leader

As a Data Center Construction Field Oversight Leader at Switch, you will provide field oversight across active data center construction projects. You will spend at least 80% of your time at construction sites, evaluating execution against schedule, quality, safety, and operational expectations. This is an oversight role. Site teams and Construction Managers remain responsible for day-to-day project execution.

What You Will Do

Spend at least 80% of your time in the field at active data center construction sites. Assess General Contractor and vendor performance, including schedule, quality, productivity, staffing, coordination, and delivery against commitments. Conduct regular site walks, field observations, audits, and performance reviews to identify risks and execution gaps.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant construction experience, including significant experience with General Contractors and large-scale construction projects.
• Deep knowledge of field construction practices, contractor performance, scheduling, quality, coordination, and construction risk.
• Experience evaluating complex construction projects through direct field observation and performance data.
• Experience identifying construction risks early and working with project teams to resolve barriers to execution.
• Ability to assess performance across multiple projects and turn field observations into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
• Credibility working directly with experienced Construction Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and operations teams.
