Role Overview

The Data Center Operations Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of server and network hardware, ensuring the reliability and performance of our clients' network. The position requires 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays, with possible 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts. Up to 25% travel may be required.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and deinstalling enterprise servers and network devices, performing troubleshooting on cabling and network link issues, and managing Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of experience in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting
  • Strong technical background in server and network hardware, including routing and switching technologies and protocols
  • Experience with enterprise/service provider network hardware platforms (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Arista)
  • Proficiency in Linux OS, CLI navigation, and industry-standard troubleshooting tools and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
