Job Description

The Data Center Repair Technician - Tier 2 - 14 On / 14 Off role at EOS IT Solutions involves troubleshooting and repairing complex device and network issues in a data center environment. The role requires a high level of autonomy, excellent time management skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network device topology, environmental standards, and safety protocols, as well as experience with Linux-based systems, scripting, and automation.

Requirements

Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex device and network issues
Uplink Racks: Skilled in executing rack uplinks using best practices
Fiber Specifications and Connector Knowledge: In-depth understanding of various fiber specifications and connector types
Ethernet Cabling/Cat 6 Cabling: Specific knowledge of Cat 6 cabling and its specifications
Self-Managing and Self-Directing: Demonstrates a high level of autonomy and prioritizes tasks effectively
Cross-Training: Actively participates in cross-training initiatives across different areas and sites
Communication and Collaboration: Tech 2’s have the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely
Knowledge of Device and DC Topology: Possesses a strong understanding of network device topology and DC topology
Time Management: Exhibits excellent time management skills, ensuring projects are completed efficiently
Knowledge Sharing and Training Capabilities: Committed to knowledge sharing and training less experienced personnel
