Role Overview

The Data Engineer II role will help maintain and improve the data infrastructure that powers manufacturing analytics, reporting, and operational insights. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented data professional who enjoys solving practical business problems, learning modern cloud data engineering practices, and partnering with stakeholders to translate operational needs into reliable data solutions.

What You Will Do

You will maintain and enhance existing data infrastructure, pipelines, and data models that support Manufacturing Operations analytics and reporting. You will write, debug, and optimize basic to intermediate SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, and data validation logic.

You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. You have foundational experience maintaining data pipelines, data workflows, databases, or analytics infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related technical discipline
  • Foundational experience maintaining data pipelines, data workflows, databases, or analytics infrastructure
  • Proficient in basic SQL, including joins, filtering, aggregations, and query troubleshooting
  • Exposure to data modeling concepts and support for basic data model development in cloud data platforms such as BigQuery
  • Understanding of fundamental programming concepts, debugging practices, and object-oriented programming principles
  • Basic understanding of cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with ETL or ELT concepts and exposure to tools such as Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, dbt, or similar technologies
