Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising clients on data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data breach response. This role offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated clients across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, technology, and asset management on complex matters at the intersection of data, technology, and law.

What You Will Do

Advise clients on compliance with U.S. and international data protection and privacy laws. Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, cybersecurity protocols, and related documentation. Analyze and interpret privacy and cybersecurity regulations and advise clients regarding compliance obligations.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of relevant data privacy, cybersecurity, and/or data protection experience at a law firm
  • Experience handling complex, sophisticated matters involving nuanced privacy and cybersecurity issues
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other U.S. and international privacy frameworks
  • Experience responding to data breaches and managing cybersecurity incident investigations
  • Experience with data-related litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, and regulatory matters
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York Bar and eligibility to practice required
  • Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency using AI technologies responsibly and ethically, including protecting confidentiality, verifying outputs, and exercising independent legal judgment

Benefits

  • Anticipated salary range: $260,000–$390,000 annually
