Requirements

  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Punctuality and consistent daily attendance
  • Basic hand tools (drill, snips, screwdrivers, level)
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Understanding of safety and use of safety measures
  • Familiarity with industry and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting
  • Ability to install cabling according to industry standards
  • Ability to use hand and power tools to assist in building out data closets
  • Ability to terminate and install standard industry copper connectors
  • Basic troubleshooting skills (toning, butt-set, etc...)
  • Familiarity with fiber products and connectors
  • Ability to identify different fiber types and connectors
  • Basic understanding of bonding and grounding installation principles
  • Basic understanding of firestopping principles
  • Basic understanding of transmission principles
