Job Description
The Database Administrator (DBA) supports the agency’s enterprise data environment by designing high‐availability database solutions, developing data warehouse and business intelligence structures, optimizing system performance, and guiding database strategy. The role requires strong technical expertise in Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, data modeling, and enterprise data warehousing concepts.
Requirements
Design and implement high‐availability clustered database solutions
Configure replication, log shipping, and standby servers
Collaborate with IT Architecture, the CIO, and IT Managers
Define business intelligence data needs and design data warehouse and data mart structures
Implement business intelligence tools, dashboards, scorecards, and analytic applications
Develop and document standards, best practices, and procedures for installation, configuration, monitoring, security, and system migrations
Perform performance tuning and configuration optimization across multiple platforms
Design standards for secure data exchange between systems and develop database strategies aligned with business needs
Serve as a mentor to peers and junior staff
