Role Overview

The Database Administrator will play a critical role on the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) Program, supporting the client's mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the DoD and IC enterprise. The Database Administrator will integrate off-the-shelf and newly developed software to sustain and enhance the TCPED platform, leveraging cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to provide cutting-edge data exploitation, enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities.

What You Will Do

The Database Administrator will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to develop solutions for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) heterogeneous datasets, administer and maintain databases, design and improve database schemas and data models, and participate in engineering design sessions to understand dependencies and interactions with POSTMAN data stores.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Possess a DoD TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA); must have Security+ and cloud certifications to quality for access
  • 3+ years of experience administering databases, including but not limited to: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
  • 3+ years of experience in database scripting using interface tools that include command line interfaces
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing database schema, data models (Relational, Entity-Relationship, Object-based, etc.) and performance tuning
  • Experience with administrating databases both on-premises and on the cloud platforms
  • Experience with monitoring database health and developing solutions to mitigate risks of performance and Service-level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Experience working with a highly technical team and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience segregating data access through record locking or other solutions
  • Experience documenting and implementing security controls; providing POAMs for vulnerabilities and security findings
  • Experience managing multiple database instances across environments
  • Experience managing multiple data connections and interfaces
  • Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner
