Role Overview

This position serves as the senior database administrator for the Office of Election Crimes and Security (OECS) at the Florida Department of State (Department). Responsible for maintaining OECS database resources for tracking electronic records, case files, and outgoing document requests.

What You Will Do

Create queries and accurately interpret multiple data sets; write shell scripts to automate repetitive tasks in order to streamline workflow; analyze and develop PL/SQL packages and execute T-SQL and P-SQL queries; analyze business procedures and recommend specific types of data to improve processes.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of equivalent work experience in the field of database administration or an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, management information systems.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified DBA, Microsoft Azure Administration, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Data+, CompTIA Server+.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, T-SQL, P-SQL, and MS SQL.
  • Experience with database administration at a State of Florida agency.
