Role OverviewExcelity is seeking a Database Engineer for a project responsible for building the next generation Mission Integration System for an exciting Government customer with a very critical mission. The selected candidate will work within a Production Operations team supporting data management processes, database engineering and management, deploying, maintaining, tuning, and enhancing database systems.
What You Will Do
Database engineering and management activities associated with high volume, multi-format data management services, including developing efficient storage, indexing, and access approaches, designing and implementing indexing strategies for ingested data, and developing a strategy for continuous performance tuning of databases.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience with Postgres, SQL, and database performance tuning, as well as experience installing application software in an operational environment, and will be certified as a DoD IAT Level II.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR A PhD with no experience
- Experience with Postgres, SQL, and database performance tuning
- Experience installing application software in an operational environment
- DoD IAT Level II certification
