Role Overview

The Day Program Activity Assistant aids in the implementation of clinical and individual programs, providing instruction and skill building in various areas. They assist in case management responsibilities, implement clinical and daily plans, and maintain documentation. The role requires a positive role model and ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The essential job duties include providing instruction and skill building, assisting in case management responsibilities, implementing clinical and daily plans, and maintaining documentation. You will also work directly with persons served individually and in groups, and participate in various teams.

Requirements

  • One year of relevant work experience/training
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job
