Role OverviewThe Day Services Direct Support Professional is responsible for supervising and supporting individuals with disabilities in a day program setting. The role involves implementing care plans, attending to individual needs, and promoting growth and independence.
What You Will Do
Provide a supportive environment, assist with daily living skills, implement care plans, and attend to individual needs. Provide transportation, locate community activities, and serve as an ambassador for the program participants.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred, and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education development certificate
- Some college preferred with background in education or related human services field
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Customer service experience
- Valid PA driver's license with acceptable driving record
