DC Maintenance Technician I

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintenance and repair to the Distribution Centers. The role requires a team player with a caring attitude, commitment to growth, and a real approach to work. The technician will perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on equipment and machinery.

What You Will Do

Perform troubleshooting on equipment/machinery, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, perform emergency mechanical repairs, and assist Maintenance Tech II and III associates on projects and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the role.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated to seek work.
• Ability and willingness to follow material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Ability to complete assignments in time allotted.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done).
• Ability to work regularly at a maximum height of four flights of stairs.
• Ability to operate a cherry picker and/or scissor lift, and work at a maximum height of 36 feet while being tethered to a safety harness.
• 3+ years of progressive mechanical aptitude experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic experience in working with and troubleshooting 120VAC-480VAC electrical components as well as 24VDC systems.
• Basic knowledge of common distribution center electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experienced and proficient utilizing machines/equipment as follows: hand tools, measuring tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder, etc.
