Job Description
The Correction Officer is responsible for maintaining control of the institution, supervising inmate activity, and ensuring the safety and security of the facility and its occupants. The role involves enforcing rules and regulations, conducting security rounds, and operating security controls and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
  • Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
  • Correction officer assessment or completion of assessment within past 24 months
  • Probationary period of 365 days
