Job Description
Role Overview

This role supports the operation and maintenance of mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems within Switch data centers. You perform preventive maintenance, respond to infrastructure alarms, and support vendors during maintenance and expansion activities.

What You Will Do

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical power and cooling systems. Respond to infrastructure alarms including high temperature, UPS, battery, fluid cooler, and pump system alerts. Support vendors and contractors during maintenance and expansion projects.

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of experience in facilities, mechanical, electrical, or electronics environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical trade school training in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with systems including generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS or STS units, PDUs, CRAC units, pumps, and fire suppression systems
  • Required certifications: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E (Arc Flash), First Aid or CPR, and other site-specific safety training within designated timeframes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working near live equipment
