Role Overview

The Deep Foundations Field Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing field operations on one or multiple projects, coordinating with jobsite superintendents and project management, and ensuring construction activities are executed safely and effectively. The role requires at least 10 years of experience in deep foundation work and experience with various types of piles. The manager will work directly with Senior Construction Manager and Business Unit Leadership to plan and execute projects.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include providing oversight for field operations, understanding basic computer and software skills, coaching and mentoring direct reports, reviewing resumes and conducting interviews, and inspecting work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in deep foundation work
  • Experience with various types of piles (drilled displacement piles, auger cast-in-place piles, concrete, timber, H-pile, pipe pile, sheet pile, drilled shafts & helical piles)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Hearing and comprehension necessary for giving and receiving directions
  • Ability to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management/supervision and field workers
  • Ability to use math and complete calculations
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to work at various tempos and concentrate amid distractions
