Role Overview

Join Our Festival Foods Team as a Deli Assistant Department Manager! As a leader with a passion for food service and deli operations, you will support the Deli Department Manager in achieving labor goals, contributing to achieving gross profit goals, and reinforcing team culture and performance expectations.

As a Festival Foods Deli Assistant Manager, you will support the Deli Department Manager in leadership & scheduling, profit & performance, team development, guidance & delegation, inventory management, guest service, department maintenance, and support.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in fast food, deli, or restaurant environments preferred
  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the retail food business, including deli and perishable department operations
  • Familiarity with equipment such as slicers, fryers, and ovens
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and company policies
  • ServeSafe Certification is required (Festival will cover the cost if not certified)
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions
