Demand Planner

The Demand Planner will work closely with manufacturing, distribution, and sales to match capacity and inventory with demand and create an efficient production plan across many high-volume SKU’s. This position will work across all parts of the organization to resolve issues related to forecasting, capacity, on-time delivery, and inventory optimization.

What You Will Do

Manage a production plan based on sales demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements to meet customer service goals. Develop strategic vision to effectively improve overall forecasting accuracy, demand planning effectiveness, and optimize inventory levels to increase customer service levels.

Requirements

• Proven working experience in demand planning while delivering above average customer experience
• Proven track record of managing a large number of SKU’s in a complex manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to develop production plans and inventory strategies while effectively communicating recommendations to executive management
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Familiarity working in ERP systems; NetSuite/SAP experience preferred
• Data mining and analytical skills with an above-average proficiency in MS Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• At least 5 years’ experience in a planning or similar role
• BS degree in supply chain, operations management, business related field highly preferred
• In-field work experience will be accepted in lieu of degree
• Lean Six Sigma preferred
• Project Management preferred
• CPIM certification a plus
