Role OverviewThe Dental Assistant will provide assistance to students, residents, and faculty in the treatment of dental patients in the School of Dentistry, specifically for our clinic in Tamaqua, PA. The role involves rotating between the clinic dispensary and walking the clinic floor to assist students.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities include distributing and collecting instruments, maintaining supplies, taking x-rays, pouring and trimming dental impressions, and performing 4-handed dentistry. The Dental Assistant will also support medical emergencies, monitor infection control and safety protocols, and maintain and disinfect operatories.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience as a Dental Assistant, dental radiology certification, and CPR certification. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Requirements
- At least 6 months experience as a Dental Assistant
- Dental Assisting training and certificate from an accredited school
- Dental Radiology Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
