Job Description
The Department Manager drives efficiency and productivity within plant operations, ensuring employee safety, environmental health, and quality standards. The role involves developing and managing supervisors, overseeing daily production operations, and enforcing safety and quality standards. The Department Manager also leads continuous improvement initiatives and supervises department team leads/supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from accredited school.
  • 5+ years of previous people management experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous work experience in a heavy industrial production environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited College or University (preferred).
  • Previous work experience in an organized labor setting (preferred).
  • Familiarity with recycling technology and production processes (preferred).
