Job Description
Responsible for overall sales and profitability of the Meat Department. Leads a team and writes their weekly schedules. Cuts and prepares meat products, provides excellent customer service, and adheres to health, sanitation, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 5 years butcher experience, with product knowledge
  • Safely use/operate knives, band saws, grinders, cube steak machine, and meat wrapper
  • HS Diploma plus 5-10 years of experience; Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years management or supervisory experience necessary
  • Above average math and computer skills
  • Great negotiating and purchasing skills
  • Merchandising ability
  • Ability to delegate, prioritize and juggle many tasks
  • Great communication skills
  • Organizational skills
