Role OverviewThe Deputy Administrator of Operations will lead the day-to-day operations, data, and policy infrastructure that powers the Workforce Services Division (WSD). This role is the operational backbone for implementing Montana's 406 JOBS Initiative, America's Talent Strategy, and other workforce priorities.
What You Will Do
The Deputy Administrator of Operations will oversee teams executing labor market research, federal and state performance reporting, data analysis, and the development of public dashboards and economic reports that inform workforce policy. They will also direct teams in translating federal guidance, regulations, and policy changes into actionable policy recommendations.

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading teams or initiatives that improved how a system works
- Experience using or leading teams in the use of data, evidence, or human-centered feedback to rethink how services are designed or delivered
- Experience working in or alongside public systems and translating complex policies or requirements into practical solutions
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to frame a compelling vision and explain complex ideas in plain language
