Job Description
The Montana Department of Corrections is seeking a Deputy CFO to join their Office of Financial Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, budgeting, and accounting. The Deputy CFO will play a critical role in planning, designing, and implementing financial policies and procedures for the Department.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mathematical forecasting techniques for both revenues and expenditures
  • Knowledge of principles of research and policy analysis
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Budgeting and accounting skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and to independently identify financial and policy issues
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects and priorities within constrained time limits
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and other diverse written information and relate these to a layman's perspective
  • Ability to foster collaboration and provide effective leadership to staff
