Role OverviewThe Deputy Director, Borough Office (Queens) is responsible for the direction, coordination, and administration of all daily activities of the Undercare, Assessment, Eviction, and Preventive Service Units. The Deputy Director is responsible for the professional review, evaluation, and management of all cases accepted for service. The Deputy Director also monitors the implementation and the satisfactory closing of each case.
What You Will Do
The Deputy Director will be responsible for the direction and supervision of social service professional and clerical staff members who are engaged in the processing of cases for APS clients. They will ensure that continued eligibility for APS services is verified within specified time frames and the update of service plans. The Deputy Director will also plan and manage the Eviction activities involved in the processing of cases referred from the New York City Department of Investigations.

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four years of progressively responsible experience, including one year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, civic, or community organization operating in the area of social services.
