Role OverviewThe Deputy Director (Chief Data Officer) leads the Department's enterprise data and performance division, overseeing data governance, analytics, performance reporting, and organizational improvement efforts. This role is responsible for building a modern data environment that supports transparent, data-driven decision making across the agency.
What You Will Do
The position serves as the agency's strategic authority on data interoperability, emerging analytics capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives. The Chief Data Officer directs the development of data standards, system architecture coordination, and agency-wide data quality practices, while also leading Performance to drive measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Education &/or experience in data management field or other relevant experience as determined by the appointing authority.
- Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant field (e.g. Computer science, Data analytics); Masters preferred.
- Two or more years' experience in performance management. PMP certification preferred.
- Two or more years' experience in a direct supervisory/leadership role.
- Experience in relevant areas such as Data Management, Continuous Improvement, Strategic Planning.
