Role OverviewThe Deputy Director, Clinical Operations Implementation & Improvement will work directly with the BPHC Executive Director of Clinical Operations to develop and execute the organization's clinical operations strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader mission and strategic plan. This person will lead the development of implementation roadmaps for new clinical programs, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives, conduct environmental scans, needs assessments, and gap analyses to identify opportunities for operational improvement, and represent the department in senior leadership meetings, committees, and external forums as delegated by the Executive Director.
What You Will Do
The Deputy Director, Clinical Operations Implementation & Improvement will oversee the end-to-end implementation of clinical operations projects from initiation through evaluation, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget. This person will develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and status dashboards to ensure transparency and accountability across all workstreams, coordinate with IT, HR, Compliance, Finance, and clinical departments to ensure seamless cross-functional execution, and establish and enforce project governance frameworks, change management protocols, and escalation pathways in collaboration with other discipline leaders.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in healthcare or clinical operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Demonstrated experience leading implementation or transformation projects in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of driving measurable quality and process improvements in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience working in a hospital, health system, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), or managed care organization preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations, healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA, HRSA), and quality improvement frameworks.
- Exceptional project management skills; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA); certification a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to and influence senior executives and Board-level audiences.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and healthcare information systems (EHR, data analytics platforms).
