Job Description
The Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) assists the Director with the operation of the Criminal Investigations Bureau within the Department of Revenue. CIB investigators work on cases concerning individuals and corporate entities suspected of tax evasion, filing false tax returns, knowingly failing to file tax returns, and/or failing to remit tax payments in the areas of income, sales, meals, withholding or excise taxes.

Requirements

  • Advising CIB investigators on case work and legal proceedings.
  • Assisting with the development of CIB policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Establishing relationships with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors' offices.
  • Supporting the Director’s work as the Co-Chair of the Illegal Tobacco Task Force.
  • Assisting with field investigations and other work assignments as needed.
  • Assisting with CIB hiring, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary action, and employee grievances.
