Job Description
The Deputy Director of External & Legislative Affairs will be responsible for advising senior leadership, providing guidance to staff, and helping to define the strategic vision for the external and legislative affairs portfolio.

Requirements

  • Function as a project manager on strategic initiatives
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of policy proposals
  • Strategize and coordinate with senior leadership on policy issues, programs, and communication plans
  • Serve as a liaison to external M/WBE organizations and advocacy groups
  • Assist in responding to requests made by the Mayor's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs
  • Manage public-facing content including social media posts and website edits
  • Collaborate with City Hall Press/Communications to identify and coordinate press announcements
  • Assist with implementing and executing outreach strategies
