Role OverviewThe Deputy Director, Health & Wellness will assist the Director in supporting the department in addressing mental health issues. The role will involve supervising psychologists and psychology staff, providing triage evaluations, conducting wellness checks, and developing mental health training for department members.
What You Will Do
The Deputy Director, Health & Wellness will conduct group critical incident debriefing, provide outreach to designated NYPD precincts, and provide clinical supportive services. They will also assist the Director in initiative development and draft grant proposals.

The ideal candidate will have a doctorate degree in psychology and a valid license as Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education. They will also have experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity, or in supervision of professional psychologists.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in psychology from an accredited college
- Valid license as Psychologist issued by the New York State Department of Education
- Five years of full-time, satisfactory professional psychological experience
- At least eighteen months of experience in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity
