Deputy Director of Security

The New York City Law Department is seeking an Agency Deputy Director of Security in the Administration Division. Reporting to the Director of Security, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of persons on agency premises, reviewing security video, and managing internal agency security related investigations. The Deputy Director of Security will also assist in preparing budget requests, bid solicitations, and procurement for agency security programs, and will be responsible for training security staff and agency staff on visitor management.

Requirements

• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a state's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
• One year of full-time satisfactory experience in the field of law enforcement, protection, or security
• Qualification to serve as a Peace Officer
• Certification and maintenance of certification as a Peace Officer
• Experience in a supervisory capacity
