Role OverviewThe Deputy Fire Marshal coordinates the department's fire prevention activities, including inspections, plan review, permitting, code enforcement, public education, and fire investigations. This position exercises functional authority over the department's fire prevention programs and company inspection process.
What You Will Do
Inspects existing structures, construction sites, and remodeling projects for compliance with applicable fire and building codes; develops and manages the department's company inspection program; identifies trends, deficiencies, and recurring code violations; and issues warnings and citations for fire code violations.
