Job Description
The Deputy General Counsel will oversee DCAS’ regulatory and policy portfolio, monitoring regulatory developments and interpreting legislation that affect the agency’s operations and workforce, and guiding agency policy development. The DGC will advise on agency policies and best practices, and play a central role in advancing agency and citywide policy initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising on complex legal and policy matters impacting agency operations.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • Four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar
  • 18 months of experience in the supervision of other attorneys in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity
